“Ah Leah” by Donnie Iris – Man does this song take me back. Again, not on my iPod, but I will be downloading it soon. I used to belt this song out at the top of my lungs when it came on the radio in truck driving days. Good thing I never saw the video before now.
The guy is a DORK!
“Lay it on The Line” by Triumph – Those Canadians could produce the three piece power bands, couldn’t they. They had several great songs back in the day, but this one is a favorite.
“Brandy” by Looking Glass – Yes, I have a soft spot for the occasional love song. Well I guess there are more than a couple of those on the list. Maybe its an affinity for the name Brandy, as long as it’s not associated with a stripper. No matter, it’s a great song.
“Wild World” by Cat Stevens – This is an oldy, but I still light up every time I hear it. Yes I know he converted and changed his name, but a good song is a good song. The thing I like best about the song, and the one above, is there is a story. Yes, I am a metal-head, and love a lot of the new music, but I hat the fact that most of them are just vowels and consonants that are in time with the beat.
